Pledges

NeneGate School is committed to providing all students with a wide range of additional opportunities and experiences as we believe in an all-round education where ‘every child develops self-confidence, life-skills and leadership experiences. We are very proud of the wide variety of enrichment activities, positive learning experiences and activities that take place outside of the classroom.

PLEDGES Programme

PLEDGES is an awards system which offers students a range of character-building opportunities that enhance their learning and development. The PLEDGES system aims to encourage and support many important qualities in students such as leadership, citizenship, moral purpose, sense of community and collective responsibility. Many of the PLEDGES criteria have at their core the British Values of; Democracy, The rule of law, Individual Liberty, Mutual Respect and Tolerance.

We have developed and invested in a simple but broad set of Academy PLEDGES that students are expected to complete during the course of their time at NeneGate, at Copper, Bronze, Silver, Platinum and Diamond levels in the following areas:

• Participation
• Leadership
• Excellence
• Diversity
• Giving
• Environmental
• Service

We will track the progress of all students and update parents and carers through the regular cycle of learning days. Please see the PLEDGES below, along with the 99 things to do before you are 15 and ¾.
